Synopsis: A hotdog delivery boy is mistaken for his secret-agent brother and thrown into the 'Ghost Punchers.' Paired with a literal nightmare for a partner, this hotdog hero must face his fears, punch ghosts, and save the girl of his dreams.
From director Kalani Hubbard comes his boldest—and strangest—film yet. Ghost Punchers is a fast-paced spectacle of fantasy, absurd humor, and, yes, an unapologetic amount of goo. Inspired by Kalani’s love of 80s sci-fi movies and anime, the film became a creative playground where he and actor Regina Famatigan often joked, “we’re getting all of our weirdness out in this one.” And true to their word, they did not pull their punches.
To bring the world of Ghost Punchers to life, Pure Magic Pictures collaborated with the acclaimed retro synth artist Futurecop!, whose soundtrack drenches the film in pulsing, neon-soaked energy. The result is a bold, unmistakable aesthetic that begs to be experienced at full volume.
Fans of Skye Hoshi: Anime Girl will recognize familiar faces in Regina Famatigan (Kira), Olivia Roldan (Skye Hoshi), and Chris Richards (Mr. Mario) now stepping into wildly different roles for Ghost Punchers. Joining them are Scotty Corn and Katie North, known for their roles in The Squatchers and Face the Music, and Emilio Picayo enters the ring to knock out the lead role in Ghost Punchers, expanding the ever-growing Pure Magic universe.
