Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Pure Magic Pictures LLC (“Pure Magic Pictures”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use puremagicpictures.com and our apps (the “Services”), how we use it, and the choices you have. We take your privacy seriously. We don't sell your personal information, and we only share it as described below.

1. What we collect

What you give us:

Your email address, which is how you sign in.
A display name, profile picture and clan, if you choose them.
Your payment details when you join, rent or buy. These go straight to our payment processor, Stripe, which also collects your billing name, country and postal code. We never see or store your full card number.
Anything you send us, like emails to support.

What we collect as you use the Services:

What you watch and for how long, your rentals and purchases, and your free minutes used each month. This keeps your account working, like picking up where you left off and keeping rentals and free minutes accurate.
Which of our house ads you see or tap, counted in total rather than tied to you.
Basic technical information that comes with any web request, like your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you visit.

Messages you send in a watch party chat go to the other people in that party as you send them. We don't keep a saved copy of the chat.

Live event chat is different: we save those messages with your display name and profile details. People at the event can see them, and our team and chat moderators can read, remove or download them. They're deleted when your account is.

2. How we use it

To run your account, stream videos, and handle memberships, rentals and purchases.
To send emails about your account: sign-in links, receipts and important changes to your account or these policies.
To send our newsletter and news about new movies, if you're subscribed (see section 5).
To understand which movies people watch, so we can make better ones and keep the Services working well.
To keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse.

3. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run the Services: a payment processor (Stripe), cloud hosting and database providers, a video storage and streaming provider, and email providers for account emails and our newsletter. They only get what they need to do their job for us, and they aren't allowed to use your information for anything else.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business change like a merger or sale. In that case your information would move to the new owner under this policy.

Your data is stored in the United States.

4. Cookies and similar tools

We use a cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers a few settings, like whether you want captions on. We don't use third-party advertising cookies, and we don't track you across other websites. If you block cookies, you won't be able to sign in.

5. Emails

When you make an account, we'll send you emails you need, like sign-in links and receipts. You may also get our newsletter about new movies, premieres and events. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing doesn't affect your account emails.

6. Your choices and rights

See and change your information: most of it is on your Account page. For anything else, email us.
Delete your account: email us and we'll delete it. We remove your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, like payment records for taxes.
Get a copy: email us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Stop marketing: unsubscribe from the newsletter or email us.

Depending on where you live, like California or the EU, you may have more rights under your local law. We honor them, and we won't treat you differently for using them. To make a request, email contact@puremagicpictures.com from the email on your account so we can confirm it's you.

7. Security

All connections to the Services are encrypted, and video links are signed and expire. No system is perfectly secure, though, so we can't promise that information will never be accessed without permission. Keep your email account secure, since it's how you sign in to ours.

8. Children

The Services aren't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll also email you.
